The recruitment landscape has changed a lot, monster.com used to be the leader once upon a time, with thousands of current and active jobs and job seekers.
Over the year, many other job boards have developed a strong presence but lately, job sites aren’t as powerful as they used to be.
Many tech savvy companies turn to Social Media to seek new employees by posting jobs on their facebook page or twitter stream, not to mention LinkedIn, which essentially offers a complete professional resume for the employer.
Networking has always been the most effective way to reach out, whether its sales or recruitment,
This brings us to the “demise of monter.com”. In August 2016 Randstad Holding, agreed to buy Monster for $429 million. The reported revenue for Monster.com in 2014 was $770 million. Clearly, the best days for monster.com are in the past.
